Em thấy xài hjsplit khi ghép file ít bị lỗi hơn (mà đúng là em chưa gặp khó khăn nào ). Nói chung anh em nên xài cái này, thay cho winrar để tránh bị ... corrupt

Selected Military Marches


"Bandleader and composer Semeon Tchernetsky was the top composer of military marches in the Soviet Period. Born in Odessa in 1881, Tchernetsky worked as an inspector of military bands until 1932, when he founded the Band of the Soviet Army. Another group Tchernetsky was strongly associated with was the Leningrad Military District Headquarters Band, the excellent ensemble featured on this Russian Lenvo disc Semeon Tchernetsky: Selected Military Marches. Here, three conductors take turns leading Leningrad Military District Headquarters Band in 15 of Tchernetsky's 70 or so marches.

Tchernetsky's work is structurally and qualitatively comparable to that of John Phillip Sousa or Kenneth Alford, but it is quite different in terms of tone and melodic content -- perhaps a bit more Germanic in style than the Anglo-American composers listed above. Here and there, Tchernetsky sneaks in vaguely humorous ideas that might not have been lost on the politburo; for example, wailing, grieving trombones seem to cry, "I've been drafted! What am I going to do?" in The March of the Drafted Division. More straightforward and sprightly ideas are found in marches intended for specific divisions or occasions, such as in The Entrance of the Red Army in Bucharest or the Air Borne Forces March. Tchernetsky knew when not to poke fun, and perhaps that and his popularity as a bandleader among the Soviet elite kept him alive and working until his death in 1950.

As far as anyone can tell, these marches do not seem to have circulated in the Western market before on CD, although the Lenvo disc seems hardly ready for it -- only part of the front cover, the track list and the bio for the band are in English, the rest being in Cyrillic. The biography of composer Tchernetsky, who is the subject of the disc after all, is unfortunately in Cyrillic also. Nevertheless, for those who love their military marches on the exotic side, this will be a distinct hit. The sound is better than average for a Russian CD; while it is not fantastic, neither is it sub-standard." ~ Uncle Dave Lewis , All Music Guide

Ode to Joy - Moscow, Cantatas

Tchaikovsky regarded his graduation cantata, "Ode to Joy" to Schiller's lyrics, his most complex and responsible effort while at the Conservatoire. The Cantata for orchestra, chorus and four soloists, probably written in the course of November 1865, was completed in early December 1865, in time for the examinations (the graduation exams began on December 20). If was performed only once during the composer's lifetime by a student chorus and orchestra, in St-Petersburg, on December 29, 1865 for Tchaikovsky's examination which was open to the public. Later, the composer refused it to be published, fearing the comparison with Beethoven; as we can see, he was not obeyed.

Completed in March 1883, the Cantata "Moscow" was commissioned for the festivities on the occasion of the coronation of Alexander III. Tchaikovsky accepted the commission with extreme reluctance, but "fortunately," as he later wrote to his publisher P. I. Jurgenson, "Maikov's very poetic text has considerably facilitated my task", and the Cantata has turned out "not half as bad as one might have imagined, considering the short period in which it was written". The first performance of the cantata took place on 15/27 May 1883 on the day of the coronation of Alexander III in Moscow, in the Granovitskii Palace at a dinner attended by all everyone participating in the festivities.
